Pictured is the Weaver Brass 3 rail O Gauge GS2 #4410 Daylight engine.   New In Box.

Collectible and beautiful.   Easy on the eyes standing still or up front on number 98 or 99... O-72 max curve track, please...  The Lima 4-8-4 engines built for Southern Pacific were precision machines with special attention given to rod weights and driver balancing.      The GS2 had 73:& 1/2" Drivers with top design speed of 90 MPH.   A year later came the GS3  4416- 4429 engines with 80 inch drive wheels.  And top design speed of 110 MPH.       As if to allay skeptics of Lima's engineering, and care in manufacturing steam locomotives, soon after assignment to Taylor Roundhouse in L.A., engine #4416 achieved witnessed stopwatch speed of 106 MPH while on scheduling trials with full complement of Daylight rolling stock.

#4410 ran out her last miles in sooty black work clothes, mostly on freights, through 1956.    Speedy #4416 was sold for scrap in June 1955.
