Vintage American portable railroad telephone. I'm told that these were carried in the Caboose in case the train stalled between stations. The telephone has a plug which would be connected to a port along the tracks so that the crew would communicate with the dispatcher. I have no idea when or where this one is from, as there are no markings except for the builder's plate. The plate reads "Manufactured by Ceeco Chicago. Distributed by Graybar. Type GBU-301A-1C" As you can see, it is in rough condition and is being sold as-is.
