This is a fair/good condition fold-over type bi-directional Streetcar passenger seat. From one of the PG & E Sacramento Streetcars; we do not know which car. We got this in South Lake Tahoe from a man, now deceased, active with the Bay Area Electric Railway Association who was a Sacramento Streetcar enthusiast in his youth. See our proposal for the new Sacramento Streetcar System, a "Heritage Streetcar Short Turn" over the Tower Bridge: riverlinkweb2.pdf connecting two arenas with the Sacramento Valley Amtrak train depot.
"4904 ACCO" indicates American Car Company St Louis. Tag on base of seat pedestal: "WAYLO Seat" Patented June 1917.
There is one wood slat missing, and seat has a cracked/glueable area on the wood frame holding the seat slats. The nickel plated corner grab handle is missing portion of rounded end. Seat is operable; the seat back is picked up slightly and moved fore or aft to face in opposite direction.
We will ship UPS in large cushioned box.
